Aber so nutze Frontfrau Elin Larsson die Zeit für entspannte Gespräche,Das schwedisch-amerikanische Quartett hatte 2014 mit ihrem Debut einen Raketenstart hingelegt und wurde danach danach non-stop auf alle möglichen Festivalbühnen katapultiert - gepaart mit diversen Tourneen. A man who is left with almost 50 years of music history in his bones and who has left his mark on both Heavy Metal and Early US Punk. Most of course associate him with MANOWAR where the guitarist played a key role in the songs on the first six albums between 1982 and 1988. I'll leave you to your own opinion on how you rate the material that was published afterwards ...But before in the early 70s he was part of the New York DICTATORS when he has taken the same breaths as the Ramones and the Stooges with Early Punk in the Big Apple and where they regularly dismantled clubs like the CBGB's.Since 2006, Ross and his ROSS THE BOSS band have been releasing razor-sharp Epic Metal, which repeatedly reminds of its heydays from the 80s. Nevertheless he always packs an additional portion of power as he proved to us with the album "Born Of Fire" which has been released in the middle of the Corona Lockdown. During our conversation we then went through all the projects bit by bit, until at the end he told me a secret about what he will be up to next. +++ In den Corona-Lockdown gerutscht: Das neue ROSS THE BOSS-Album „Born Of Fire“ +++ Kann die geplante November-Tour stattfinden? +++ Die Rückkehr der Original DICTATORS +++ Respekt an seine MANOWAR-Songs +++ Pläne für ein Blues-Album +++In dieser Episode entführe ich Euch über den großen Teich nach New York City, wo am anderen Ende der Zoom-Leitung Ross Friedman, besser bekannt als Ross The Boss, auf uns wartet. Ein Mann, der fast 50 Jahre Musikgeschichte in den Knochen und seine Spuren sowohl im Heavy Metal als auch im frühen US-Punk hinterlassen hat. Die meisten bringen ihn natürlich mit MANOWAR in Verbindung, wo der Gitarrist zwischen 1982 und 1988 maßgeblich an den Songs der ersten sechs Alben beteiligt war. Ich überlasse Euch mal eine eigene Meinung, wie ihr das Material bewertet, welches danach veröffentlicht wurde…Aber schon in den 70ern richtete als Teil der New Yorker DICTATORS in einem Atemzug mit den Ramones und den Stooges allerlei frühen Punk im Big Apple an und nahm dort die Clubs wie das CBGB's regelmäßig auseinander. Seit 2006 veröffentlicht Ross mit seiner ROSS THE BOSS Band wieder messerscharfen Epic Metal, der immer wieder an seine Glanzzeiten aus den 80er erinnert. Dennoch packt er immer wieder eine zusätzliche Schippe Power mit drauf, wie er uns bei dem mitten im Corona-Lockdown veröffentlichten Album „Born Of Fire“ unter Beweis stellte.Bei unserem Gespräch gingen wir dann auch mal alle Projekte Stück für Stück durch, bis er mir am Schluß noch ein Geheimnis verriet, was er als nächstes vorhat.
